The Bishop of Sheffield, Steven Croft, has lashed out (or as much as English Bishops do lash out) in response to cinemas banning a simple video of people reciting the Lord’s prayer. So .. when I read this I went through a whole range of emotions over a few short minutes. Ranging from, “Is this April 1st?” to “How do explain my own perspective?”. On one hand I am freaking out a little, on the other hand .. I’m only freaking out a little.
It’s hard to figure out sometimes what is going on when we enter spiritually dry seasons in our lives. Calling this arid, dusty spiritual time a “Desert Experience” makes it seem somehow noble and worthwhile, almost heroic.
